There is no special lease required for private forestry development. The provisions to be included in any lease of land for afforestation are matters for negotiation between the parties concerned. Copies of model leases used for the leasing of agricultural land are available from offices of the Irish Co-Operative Organisation Society but the acceptability of these provisions is a matter primarily for the parties directly concerned.
