asked the Minister for Finance when the additional PAYE allowances of £550 will be granted to the electricians who work underground at Tara Mines Ltd., Navan, County Meath; if his attention had been drawn to the fact that other categories such as labourers, fitters and mechanics employed at Tara Mines Ltd. have already been granted this allowance; the reason for the delay in applying it to this category; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the matter raised by the Deputy will be dealt with as quickly as possible if the names of the electricians concerned are provided to the inspector of taxes.
