Vol. 373 No. 1

Written Answers. - Transport Arrangements.

82.

asked the Minister for Health if transport will be arranged for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 to and from his home at weekends as the centre he attends is very far from his home; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Transport arrangements are a matter for each health board to decide in the light of circumstances. However I understand that no request to provide transport for this person has been made to the Eastern Health Board. He goes home most weekends when he is collected and returned by his brother. If there is good reason why the present arrangement cannot continue the family concerned should contact the health board to see what other arrangements are possible.
