Vol. 373 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Dental Hospital.

83.

asked the Minister for Education the policy, if any, she has regarding the development of the new Dublin dental hospital project; if she has satisfied herself that the proposal as presented and as being developed is necessary; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My policy in respect of the new Dublin dental hospital is to provide replacement facilities for the existing Dublin Dental School and Hospital which are acknowledged to be totally unsatisfactory. Preliminary site development works for the project have been completed.

I am satisfied on present evidence and projections that the facilities to be provided and the total output of dentists proposed for Dublin and Cork will meet the requirements of the State for dentists in the future.
