Written Answers. - County Donegal Vocational Schools.

94.

asked the Minister for Education when the examination of a draft final account for the Raphoe vocational school. County Donegal will be completed.

Examination of the final account has been completed. I understand my Department has already entered into correspondence with County Donegal Vocational Education Committee on the matter.

95.

asked the Minister for Education when approval to proceed to contract for Raphoe vocational school physical education hall, County Donegal will be granted.

Building projects at second-level schools can only be released to contract having regard to the degree of priority in individual cases and to the amount of capital funds available. It is not possible to indicate, in the light of these criteria, when it will be possible to allow this project to proceed to contract.

96.

asked the Minister for Education when authorisation will be given to proceed with the architectural planning of the new vocational school at Milford, County Donegal and for the convening of a planning briefing meeting with her Department.

The rate at which architectural planning can begin and at which this project can proceed will have to be reviewed in the context of the capital resources available in this and future years. It is not possible at present to indicate when the planning briefing meeting will be convened.
