asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number, locations and current employment level of incubator factories provided by the IDA in association with third level colleges in accordance with paragraph 10.16 (i) of the White Paper on Industrial Policy.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that seven incubator units were provided in University College, Galway, in accordance with paragraph 10.16 (i) of the White Paper on Industrial Policy. Employment in these units is 19.

At University College, Dublin, the IDA are assisting in the renovation of a 4,770 sq. ft. building on the campus which will comprise 12 units. These are expected to be completed in July 1987.

In 1983, the IDA leased a 4,895 sq. ft. factory unit to Bolton Street College, Dublin, for the establishment of a project-product development centre. Employment at this centre stands at eight at present.
