asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for refusing to pay a headage grant to persons (details supplied) in County Cavan; if he will reconsider the matter having due regard to the hardship suffered as a result of an outbreak of tuberculosis in the area.

Cattle headage scheme grants for 1986 were refused in these two cases as the animals presented at inspections were not in the ownership and possession of the herdowners or maintained on their farms on 15 June 1986 as required by the terms and conditions of the scheme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will receive a grant under the western drainage scheme.

The grant of £2,576 has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

A grant of £1,568 will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow.

The grant is being processed at present and payment will be made as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a farm installation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The application under the scheme of installation aid for young farmers from the person mentioned cannot be further processed until the applicant furnishes a certified copy folio, showing that he is the registered owner of the land described in his application form. When this is received and if everything is found to be in order, payment will be made in due course.
