asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the difficulties being experienced by the residents of Rosslare Harbour, County Wexford because of the aged and outdated sewerage system; if he will update the system as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to his previous Question No. 67 of 26 November, 1985. The position remains as set out in that reply.

asked the Minister for the Environment when sanction will be given for County Wexford main drainage scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the Wexford town main drainage scheme. Approval has been given to the preliminary proposals for this scheme and to the preparation of contract documents for stage 1. It is now a matter for Wexford Corporation to proceed with the further planning of the scheme.
