Vol. 373 No. 9

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowance.

57.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason a proper tax free allowance will not be granted to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath as she has only been employed since 4 March 1987.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that a certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1987-88, based on the taxpayer's most recently completed return of income, was issued to her on 4 May 1987. The taxpayer has also been advised by telephone of the position.
