Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a house improvement grant will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A grant cannot be allowed as an inspection had not been carried out on or before 27 March 1987.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The third instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

A grant cannot be allowed as, contrary to a condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house had been carried out by the Department's inspector.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant and a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

An inspection, with a view to approval of the new house grant and mortgage subsidy, will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a final inspection for a house improvement grant will take place for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and when payment of same will be made.

An inspection has taken place and on receipt of the inspector's report, payment of the grant will be considered.

asked the Minister for the Environment when approval in respect of a house improvement grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

While the applicant has been requested to furnish the necessary authorisation to enable the grants approved to be mandated to his bank account on completion of the works, to date no such authorisation has been received from him.

120.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and when payment of same will issue.

There has been no delay. It has been necessary to request a further report from the Department's inspector.
