asked the Minister for Justice if his attention has been drawn to a reported serious drug problem in the O'Devaney Gardens area of North Circular Road, Dublin 7, in which it is alleged that as many as nine pushers are now operating; if he will ensure that the Garda Síochána have adequate resources to deal with this matter urgently; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

While every drug problem must be regarded as serious, there is no evidence, according to the information I have from the Garda authorities, that this area has a serious drug problem in the sense implied in this question. I am also informed by the Garda authorities that adequate resources are available to the Garda Síochána to deal with any reports of drug abuse there.
