On a per capita basis, the share of the Community Budget for the Common Agricultural Policy which accrues to Ireland has, in recent years, continued to exceed that for any other member state. In addition because of the relatively greater importance of agricultural trade to Ireland, we continue to benefit more than most other member states from the free access to the comparatively high priced Community markets.
