asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the amount of potatoes imported this year including imports from Northern Ireland on a month by month basis; the names of the importing companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The import figures are set out in the form of a tabular statement which I propose to circulate in the Official Report. It is not the normal practice to give information in regard to the commercial activities of individual companies.
