Vol. 373 No. 13

Written Answers. - Irish Citizens in South Korea.

77.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of Irish citizens in South Korea; and the arrangements he is making for their protection because of the rioting in Seoul.

There are 116 Irish citizens at present in the Republic of Korea. The Irish Ambassador at Tokyo who is accredited to the Republic of Korea is closely monitoring the situation in conjunction with the Honorary Consul at Seoul. There is no reason to believe any Irish citizens are in danger.
