asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport in relation to Horan International Airport, County Mayo the operating loss incurred to date and the projected loss or surplus as the case may be for its next financial year.

These are matters which are essentially of a day-to-day nature for Connaught Airport Development Company Limited, the private company which operates Horan International Airport, County Mayo. I am sure the Deputy will appreciate that it would not be appropriate for me to disclose details of the financial affairs or activities of a private company.

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport the moneys, if any, owing by the Horan International Airport Company to his Department, to Aer Rianta or to any other State body or agency under his aegis; and if so the amount thereof in each case; the length of time it is owing these moneys; and when payment of same is expected.

The total amount owed to my Department by Connaught Airport Development Company Ltd., is £116,657.97. This comprises £88,913.96 in respect of the provision of air traffic control services at the airport in the period up to 30 April 1987, and £27,744.01 for flight checking or navigational aids at the airport. My Department is at present pursuing the question of the outstanding bills with the airport company.

There are no moneys owed by the company to any other body under the aegis of my Department.
