Vol. 374 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ballinagard Road (Roscommon) Sewerage Scheme.

219.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve plans submitted by Roscommon County Council for the provision of a sewerage scheme at Ballinagard Road, Roscommon.

Detailed drawings and cost estimates for the scheme referred to by the Deputy have been submitted by Roscommon County Council and are under consideration in my Department. A certificate confirming the completion of all preliminary arrangements in relation to the scheme is awaited from the council.

The release of this scheme will have to be considered in the light of existing financial commitments and other high priority schemes competing for the limited capital funds available. At this stage, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision may issue to the council.
