asked the Minister for Education if she will provide statistics for the secondary teachers' superannuation scheme for the years 1985 and 1986 under the headings: (a) total number of secondary, community and comprehensive teachers on incremental salary on August 1; (b) number of teachers in the scheme; (c) number of retirements at the age of 65; (d) number in receipt of pension; (e) contributions to the scheme; (f) amounts paid in gratuities and pensions; (g) estimated number of compulsory retirements at the age of 65; (h) number of those at (g) who are in the pension scheme and (i) number of early retirements each year to date.

The information requested is as follows:

(a) total number of secondary, community and comprehensive teachers on incremental salary on 1 August;
