The publication of company notifications in Iris Oifigiúil is governed by the Companies Act, 1963 to 1986, and the European Communities (Companies) Regulations, 1973. The annual cost is £158,700. Following the recent computerisation in the Companies Registration Office it is likely that it will be possible to provide this information at a considerably reduced cost; this aspect is under examination.
