Vol. 374 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

61.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will take immediate steps to have an income tax rebate paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13 and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that there is no refund of tax due in this case. On review of the taxpayer's liability to tax for the years 1983/84 to 1986/87 inclusive, a net underpayment emerged. Details of the reviews were issued to the taxpayer on 21 August, 1987.
