There have been 280 applications for voluntary redundancy/early retirement from staff in the Office of the Revenue Commissioners. However, the relevant terms are to be applied only in areas where identified redundancy or overstaffing exists or is reasonably expected to arise. Since this position does not obtain in the Office of the Revenue Commissioners no applications from within that office have been granted.
