Vol. 374 No. 1

Written Answers. - Brickey River.

83.

asked the Minister for Finance if financial assistance will be made available towards maintenance and the cleaning up of the Brickey River, Dungarvan, County Waterford.

A sum of £3.5 million has been provided for arterial drainage maintenance in 1987.

The Brickey River has been adequately maintained, and is in good condition following the carrying out of routine maintenance work this year. Regular inspections of the river will continue to be made to determine what future maintenance works, if any, are required, due regard being had to the necessity to keep within budgetary limits.
