Information on the number of jobs created in the building industry since the Government took office is not available within my Department. The review and outlook document on the construction industry which was published in July this year by my Department provides details of trends in employment and unemployment in the building industry in recent years as well as forecasts for 1987. Forecasts for 1988 are not available at this stage.
