asked the Minister for the Marine the level of remuneration of the non-executive directors of boards, companies or agencies under his control which was first set; when these levels were set; if they have ever been revised in line with inflation or with the level of remunerations of non-executive directors of private sector entities of similar size and responsibilities.

No fees are payable to the ordinary members of the Central Fisheries Board or to the chairman and ordinary members of the regional fisheries boards.

The 60 per cent increase in 1974 in BIM fees was based on the movement in fees at the time for non-executive directors of private sector entities.
