Because of the pressure on my Department's 1988 capital allocation for the building of national schools, I am not in a position to sanction the invitation of tenders for the school building project in County Kilkenny referred to by the Deputy. I should add that a review of enrolment trends at the school was recently completed, and it has established that one classroom fewer than the number originally planned for in this scheme will be required. It will accordingly be necessary to revise the scope of the project for which tenders may in due course be invited.
