97.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a ewe subsidy payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Payment issued to the person named on 29 October, 1987.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason he will not rectify the position regarding the non-payment of a calf subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

Premium grants on calves born in the year ended 15 June 1987 will be paid to the person named in due course if they are found eligible during the present round of inspections.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a reclamation grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

A claim under the farm improvement programme for payment of a grant of £2,349 has been received and will be paid as soon as practicable. All claims under the programme are dealt with strictly in order of receipt. Due to existing budgetary constraints, there may be some delay in making grant payments.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a sheep headage payment of only £6 per head was received by a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named was paid an advance of £256.50 on 12 February 1987 under the ewe premium scheme. The balance, £102.42, was paid to him on 30 June 1987. He has, therefore, been paid the total premium of £19.94 for each of his 18 ewes.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if grants under the farm modernisation scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny where the application was made in 1980 and works had been completed for some time.

There is no record of an application under the farm modernisation scheme from the person mentioned.

102.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the present position regarding the payment of a farm modernisation grant to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

A claim under the farm modernisation scheme for payment of a grant of £2,680 has been received and will be paid as soon as practicable. All claims under the scheme are dealt with strictly in order of receipt. Due to existing budgetary constraints, there may be some delay in making grant payments.
