Written Answers. - Leixlip, Kildare, new Garda Accommodation.

83.

asked the Minister for Finance the instructions he has given to the Office of Public Works in regard to procuring a site for a Garda station in Leixlip, County Kildare; the extent of the accommodation required; the number of gardaí the station will accommodate; whether the Office of Public Works has been instructed to have the premises acquired by (a) the end of 1987 or (b) an alternative date; if the Office of Public Works has as yet approached property owners; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been requested to obtain premises at Leixlip, County Kildare, for use as a Garda sub-station accommodating four gardaí. While no deadline has been set for the acquisition of the premises the commissioners have already been in touch with agents acting for property owners in the area.
