asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport the number of occasions during the month of August, 1987 that the Shanwick Aeradio, Ballygireen, HF Volmet was off the air and the reason; and in view of the fact that air traffic control and weather broadcasts for the North-Eastern Atlantic are fully paid for by aircraft operators at no cost to the Irish Exchequer, the reason a full complement of staff is not maintained for these purposes at Ballygireen and Shannon, County Clare.
