Vol. 375 No. 6

Written Answers. - Foras Forbartha Redundancies.

97.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the voluntary severance terms being offered to employees of An Foras Forbartha; the reason for any difference between these terms and the terms offered to other employees in the public service; if he will explain where the remaining employees of An Foras Forbartha will be placed; if they are placed in the public service, the arrangements or recognition which will be given in respect of their social welfare contributions to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The voluntary severance terms offered to staff of An Foras Forbartha are the standard terms approved by the Government for all staff throughout the public sector on full PRSI and have regard to social welfare entitlements.

With regard to the redeployment of staff of An Foras Forbartha I would refer the Deputy to my replies to Questions Nos. 152 and 55 on 10 and 11 November respectively.
