asked the Minister for Energy if he will give details of the programme of work intended for completion during 1988 in respect of each forest nursery managed by the Forest and Wildlife Service; and if he will indicate in each case, the way in which the volume of work compares with the 1987 programme.
Written Answers. - Forest and Wildlife Service.
The details requested by the Deputy are included in the following schedule, for 1987 and 1988 in terms of the sowing programme and lining out programme for each nursery. "Lining out" refers to the process whereby seedlings derived from sowing seed are transplanted in the nursery to produce transplants fit for planting in the forest. In the sowing programme, the term "effective kilogram" (Eff.Kg.) is equivalent to a kilogram of "good standard seed" from which can be expected, for different species, a predictable number of seedlings.

asked the Minister for Energy if he will furnish a copy of the terms of contract used in the utilisation of contractors for various services, including labour only contracts, in the Forest and Wildlife Service.
Contracts by their very nature are continously under review and vary according to the work to be undertaken. I have forwarded a copy of a current form of contract in use by my Department to the Deputy under separate cover.
