asked the Minister for Health the number of refuge places for the victims of family violence provided in each community care area; the agency responsible; and the public money provided.
Written Answers. - Victims of Family Violence.
There are eight refuges which deal specifically with the victims of family violence. The attached tabular statement gives the details requested by the Deputy in respect of these eight refuges. I might also mention that victims of family violence are from time to time accommodated in various shelters and facilities for the homeless e.g. Bru Caoimhin and the Regina Coeli Hostel, both of which are in Dublin. However, it is not possible to supply information in the form requested by the Deputy in respect of the latter facilities.
