The information requested by the Deputy is given in the attached tables.
The county breakdown of the live register includes all persons signing on at employment exchanges in each county, regardless of where the person actually lives. Details for Tipperary North and South Ridings are not available. An area of residence analysis of the live register is published quarterly by the CSO. However, this does not give a breakdown by type of unemployment payment.
Details of the workforce by county are not available. Table 4 gives a breakdown by region.
In the time available, it was not possible to compile the data requested on smallholders. This will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
