The provisions in the 1988 Estimates for road improvement and maintenance grants have been fully allocated. It was not possible to allocate a grant for the continuation of works at Knockeen in 1988, because of the demands of other priority road improvement schemes on the funds available for the year. The matter will be looked at again when the road grant allocations for 1989 are being determined.
