Vol. 376 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dún Laoghaire Harbour Marina Need.

36.

asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the need for a marina in Dún Laoghaire harbour, County Dublin; and the action, if any, he intends taking in the matter.

I am aware of the need for a marina in Dún Laoghaire harbour and I am glad to say that the Commissioners of Public Works recently gave their agreement, in principle, to outline proposals they had received relative to the provision of a marina at the landward end of the west pier of the harbour. More detailed proposals are now awaited.

A further outline proposal for a marina in the same area of the harbour has been received within the last couple of days. This will be considered as quickly as possible.
