The present position regarding the proposed extension to Carrick national school, County Donegal, is that the school authorities have submitted tenders for the project. Because, however, of the pressure on the funds available to my Department for the national schools building programme, I am not in a position at present to approve the further processing of the tenders or to authorise the placing of a contract.
