As indicated in the Government's announcement of 19 November 1987, an allocation of £300,000 in 1988 has been made from national lottery revenue in respect of the provision of a regional sports centre in Cork. My Department will be in touch with the relevant local authorities regarding the location of the centre and the range of facilities to be provided at an early date.
