As outlined in my press statement of 27 October 1987 money is to be provided under the EC Valoren Programme for energy projects including the development by Bord na Móna of additional boglands in counties Galway, Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath, Tipperary, Offaly and Kildare. Work has already commenced on these bogs.
