asked the Minister for Education if she will allocate money from the national lottery profits to Tramore Soccer Club, County Waterford who have already spent £160,000 for two pitches and dressing rooms and are experiencing some financial difficulty.
Under the terms of my Department's capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities, assistance may not be allocated in respect of work carried out in the absence of official grant approval. Accordingly, as I understand that the work in question has already been done, it is not open to my Department to consider sanctioning a grant for Tramore Soccer Club.

asked the Minister for Education the total amount of national lottery funds allocated to her Department under the capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities during (a) 1987 and (b) also 1988 to date.
My Department have been allocated a sum of £4 million from the proceeds of the national lottery, to aid projects under the capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities. The allocation was announced by the Government on the 19 November 1987.
