Vol. 378 No. 3

Written Answers. - Departmental Payments.

57.

asked the Minister for Justice the total amount of any grants or other moneys due to be paid directly or indirectly by his Department in 1987 which were held over for payment; the reason for such delay; and when the arrears or backlog will be cleared.

No payments due were held over by my Department. A number of awards of compensation made by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal in 1987 were not paid by the end of that year but they had not become due for payment.
