asked the Minister for the Environment if he has included the NBA houses, Marian Estate, Newport, County Tipperary, for inclusion in the scheme for capital financing of local authority housing with structural defects; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this housing estate is the only one sought for inclusion by Tipperary North Riding County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that this estate is the only one for which funding under the remedial works scheme has been sought by the council. The proposal is being considered in the context of the capital allocations for 1988, which, it is hoped will be notified to authorities in the near future.
