Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Transport the reason that the livestock hauliers are excluded from the recently announced supports to address cost pressures arising from the current high fuel prices within the haulage sector; the steps that he is taking to address this irregularly taking into consideration that livestock hauliers are exempt from having a haulage license but have a professional competence certificate in road haulage transport; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
