Vol. 378 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Kildare School.

282.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that St. Wolstan's Holy Faith secondary school, Celbridge, County Kildare, cannot accommodate students from within its catchment area in the current year due to over-crowding and lack of space; the way in which she intends to remedy the situation; and if she intends that extra facilities will be provided at the school to alleviate the situation in the near future.

My Department have approved the provision of an extension, including upgrading works, to St. Wolstan's Holy Faith secondary school. Architectural planning has reached the developed sketch scheme stage. However, the rate at which this project can proceed is dependent on the availability of capital resources and on my Department's priorities and commitments.
