Vol. 378 No. 9

Written Answers. - Tallaght (Dublin) Garda Strength.

48.

asked the Minister for Justice if, in view of the representations from the Old Bawn Residents' Association, Tallaght, Dublin 24, (details supplied) arrangements will be made urgently to increase Garda numbers at Tallaght, Dublin 24; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Garda authorities are aware of the concerns expressed on behalf of the Old Bawn Residents' Association and these are being taken into account in the policing arrangements for the area in question.

As regards Garda strength at Tallaght station, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 97 on 9 February 1988. The vacancy for an inspector has been filled and the overall strength of the station is being kept under continuing review by the Garda authorities.
