asked the Minister for Health if he will outline his plans for the future of the special secure unit within the grounds of the Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum, Dublin 14; the total cost of the construction of the unit; and the total maintenance costs since it was built.

The future use of the new unit is still under consideration. The total capital cost was £2.57 million and the maintenance cost up to end 1987 was £13,346.
