Vol. 379 No. 1

Written Answers. - Botanic Gardens Admission Charge.

95.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if it is his intention to establish an entrance or admission charge for visitors to the Botanic Gardens, Dublin 9; and, if so, the justification for such a charge.

The Government have decided in principle to introduce admission charges to the Botanic Gardens with the aim of reducing the costs borne by the State in maintaining them. The timing of the introduction of the charges is being considered in light of the condition of the curvilinear range of glasshouses in the gardens.
