asked the Minister for the Marine if he will name the members of the Aquaculture Management Committee and their qualifications; the committee's terms of reference; and to whom it reports.

The membership of the Aquaculture Management Committee is as follows:— Mr. Fionan Ó Muircheartaigh, Secretary, Department of the Marine, Mr. P. McPhilips, Principal, Sea Fisheries Division, Department of the Marine, Mr. D. Doyle, Assistant Principal, Sea Fisheries Division, Department of the Marine, Mr. P. Dillon, Higher Executive Officer, Sea Fisheries Division, Department of the Marine, Dr. A. Meaney, Chief Executive, Board Iascaigh Mhara, Mr. A. Heskin, Export Development Manager, Bord Iascaigh Mhara, Mr. E. Boland, Export Development Division, Bord Iascaigh Mhara, Mr. R. O Bric, Chief Executive, Údarás na Gaeltachta, Mr. J. Lowery, Deputy Chief Executive, Údarás Na Gaeltachta and Mr. E. O Conaill, Principal, Roinn na Gaeltachta. Depending on the issue under consideration, other persons from the organisations listed might attend meetings of the Committee.

The terms of reference of the Committee are as follows:—

To review on a regular basis the status of aquaculture development in relation to the objectives of the Government; to co-ordinate State funding for aquaculture projects in order to maximise employment and output; to consider the means necessary to secure adequate EC funding for aquaculture and to review the provision of grant-aid for the aquaculture industry and to advise the Ministers for the Marine and the Gaeltacht of any re-structuring which is considered necessary.
