asked the Minister for Finance the debt maturity in respect of foreign and domestic loans for each year 1982 to the year 2000 inclusive; and the amount for each year.

The information requested by the Deputy is provided in the table below. The figures take account of borrowings up to and including 31 March 1988.

Exchequer Bills and other short term domestic borrowings which are repayable on demand or at very short notice are excluded from the above figures. The scheduled repayments of foreign loans and domestic loans reflect the effects of the ongoing prepayment/refinancing programme.
