Vol. 380 No. 1

Written Answers. - Excise Duty Rebate.

41.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the claim of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5, for a rebate of excise duty.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that disabled persons duly registered with them as claimants for repayment of excise duty paid on petrol are required to make their claims at the end of each successive period of four months. However, the Commissioners have, exceptionally, entertained delayed claims, including one such claim by the person in question, and have now made arrangements for an appropriate refund in respect of an outstanding claim from that person.
