Tallaght Youth Services is funded by my Department through County Dublin Vocational Education Committee. This funding comes from the proceeds of the national lottery.
The vocational education committee was informed on 4 May 1988 that a sum of £185,000 was being provided for the continuation of youth projects, including the Tallaght Youth Services Project in County Dublin. The total grant to be allocated to County Dublin VEC in respect of Tallaght Youth Services has not yet been finalised. It will, however, exceed £350,000 in 1988. It is expected that both the vocational education committee and Tallaght Youth Services will be informed of the exact details of the allocation in question shortly.
