I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer became unemployed on 16 January 1988 and recommenced employment on 19 February 1988. The inspector of taxes wrote to him on 27 April 1988 requesting his form P.60 for 1987-88 to enable a review of his liability for that year to be carried out. The required form has not yet been supplied.
A certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1988-89 was issued to the taxpayer on 2 May 1988.
