Vol. 380 No. 9

Written Answers. - Extradition Arrangements.

43.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the agreement reached between the Irish Attorney General and the British Attorney General over extradition arrangements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is not the practice to give details of private meetings such as the one recently held between the Attorney-General and the British Attorney-General. As was indicated by the Taoiseach to the House on 17 May, the operation of extradition arrangements in accordance with the provisions of the Acts of the Oireachtas governing these matters has been discussed between the Attorneys-General over a period and these arrangements will be implemented in appropriate cases.
